Do not rent from these people they will literally charge you extra money for no reason I've seen it I've worked for the company before Port Charlotte save yourself the time and money
After I rented for two weeks they charged me for extra days because they were closed after Hurricane Irma for no reason until Tuesday (Winn Dixie across the street was open on Monday), no answered phones, no call from them, there were no info posted, no drop box or any instructions. Car was returned the earliest after they opened. I agree they are not responsible for the storm but Im not either. They charged me for each and everyone of all days they were closed including today, which it was due late in the afternoon. Just felt myself mistreated as a customer, and I totally agree to pay until yesterday.
I did not left the car outside their office when it was due, right before the hurricane as they did with few of their cars to avoid any possible damage issue since we knew about the hurricane and I keep it in inside my garage at my house since I have the space for.
Do NOT rent a car from these people. Granted you can rent a car with ease, no hassle. The hassle comes when you return the vehicle. They charged us late fees even though the car was brought back a day before it was actually due to be returned. Then an entire week has passed and only half of the money they “charged by mistake” has been returned. Called several times and today whoever we were speaking to hung up. Very unprofessional.
Look further to rent a car, there are better choices not far from them.
BTW, they are not cheap either: weekly average is well over $300 for standard/basic car with nothing luxury but A/C.
I wont rent a car here anymore nor recommend anyone to do so. It is a small company with no plan to growth their customer base, Im a realtor and I had sent my customers also and I had rented myself here multiple times previously. I'm not sure why or what is the reason for this such excessive rude attitude, the car was clean, more fuel than what I received when took it at the beginning (despite all fuel issues we had locally last week), and I had never asked them for anything before, not even an special rate or discount.
There are no many places in Port Charlotte where to rent a car, I give you that but this one is not a option to choose from, they are only better than walk.
Great people to deal with. My next rental will be with them again. Rented car to go to South Carolina and for the eclipse and Steve was very courteous and pleasant to work with. Price was a lot less than going with a national company. Thanks again!
